ITC Mailbox Maintenance Policy for users

KFUPM email account offers SMTP, POP, IMAP, and Webmail access. Individual emails including attachments can be up to 5 MB in size. And KFUPM mail server can store your mailbox up to a maximum quota of 50 MB size. If your email quota is exceeded you are notified via automated email alerts. And in extreme cases when its size exceeds to the extent that it effect the server performance for all users,  your mailbox will be automatically archived to you Unix home directory and you will be sent an automated alert email with a web link with which you can access that moved mailbox via a Web Browser. Kindly note that Unix quota is flexible and starts with a default of 200 MB for faculty and staff and 100 MB for students.

Email Policy for Stale Accounts

 KFUPM faculty and staff leaving for good has to ensure that before leaving KFUPM they should make arrangements for alternate email communications as the KFUPM email account will be deactivated after their file becomes inactive in HR database. However they can request for forwarding their emails to there external account for a period of two months from the date of their departure.
