Natural Gas Reservoir Engineering
This course covers the fundamentals of natural gas reservoir engineering, namely:
- Determination of reserves using volumetric and material balance approaches taking into consideration the impact of water influx.
- Forecasting reservoir performance based on decline curves and deliverability testing.
- Gas condensate reservoirs and the impact of liquid drop out.
- Underground gas storage.
- Gas fields development.
The two main course objectives are to:
- Provide participants with a clear understanding of gas reservoirs and how to predict their performances.
- Introduce or review the fundamentals of gas reservoir engineering including reserve estimates, gas field deliverability
and development, and introduction to underground gas storage.
For each major topic, participants will tackle a related practical problem followed by a step-by-step solution.
