Student Club

Petroleum engineering students participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities through the Petroleum Engineering Student Club, a student body which functions under the auspices of the Deanship of Student Affairs. The club's objectives are of a technical as well as a social nature as it provides the student an opportunity to share knowledge and experience with fellow members. Arranging excursions to industrial sites and operations, arid organizing seminars represent a few of the club's technical activities. Cultural events include students' get-together, picnics, sport activities and participation in the annual career day at KFUPM.

Petroleum Engineering students can also join the Society of Petroleum Engineers, International through membership in the SPE KFUPM Student Chapter. The KFUPM Chapter is an expedient conduit of SPE's technical publications and literature.
